Research Interests

Raoul Mitterstainer is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Journalism and Communication Studies at the University of Vienna. He has already completed his Bachelor's degree in Vienna, with his thesis focusing on the framing of Austrian party media in their coverage of the war in Ukraine. Aligning with his research interests, he is currently also obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.

Since March 2023 he contributes to Folker Hanusch’s research project „Journalism under Duress“ as a research assistent. Originating from South Tyrol, Italy, he has always been interested in cultural differences regarding media systems and the journalistic field.
