Birte Leonhardt holds a Bachelor‘s degree in Media Research / Media Practice, and Political Science from TU Dresden, Germany (2020), and a Master’s degree in Journalism and Communication Studies from the University of Vienna (2022). Currently, she is a Predoctoral University Assistant at the Journalism Studies Center within the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna.

During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a tutor for empirical research methods and as a student assistant on a Europe-wide research project at TU Dresden. During her master studies, she also conducted project-based research with Folker Hanusch and Daniel Nölleke.
